Free ASVAB Administration at RRHS on 10/15....
The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery is a multiple-choice test that helps you better understand your strengths and can assist in identifying which jobs or occupations are best for you.
For the Fall semester, 2014, the exam will be administered on October 15th @ 7:30am in the RRHS Cafeteria. Interested students can sign up for this free exam with their grade level counselor.

Free Practice ACT!!!
RRHS, in conjunction with Omniac Education, will offer a Free Practice ACT Exam and Workshop during the Fall Semester. The exam will be proctored on Saturday, October 4th from 9:00am to 12:30pm in the RRHS cafeteria. The follow up workshop will be held on Wednesday, October 8th from 6:00pm to 7:30pm in the Humanities Building classrooms. Students should arrive for the exam at 8:50 with 2 pencils, a simple calculator, and any needed water or snacks. The follow up workshop on Wednesday will include a review of the students score sheet, a brief tutoring session, and additional information regarding ACT testing resources and Omniac's valuable services! Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend the workshop!

Students can sign up for the practice ACT exam with their grade level counselor!

RRHS College Fair!!!!
Rio Rancho High School will hold it's annual NMEC College Days Fair on Thursday, October 2nd from 9:00am-10:15am in the RRHS Auxiliary Gym!! Students will have the opportunity to talk directly to representatives from dozens of postsecondary institutions, including most State of New Mexico universities and colleges as well as some out of state schools within the western region.Various branches of the US military will also be in attendance. Students will need to request a pass from their grade level counselor to attend (unless the teacher is taking their entire class). Parents that wish to attend, need to check in at the front desk in the Administration Building previous to walking over to the Aux Gym. Parking will be available in the large lot in front of the football field.

We highly recommend that students register for the fair by visiting the link below. Students will be able to request information from institutions quickly and efficiently by obtaining the barcode pass and presenting it to the admissions reps from each school.
2014-15 ACT Prep Course
Omniac Education and Rio Rancho High School are proud to offer the RRHS Spring ACT Prep Program for the 2014-15 school year! The program is intended to help students become "college ready" by raising ACT scores. The ACT Exam can be a formidable experience for many high school students but this unique course can help you master the tests and do your absolute best! This program is intended to prepare students for the October 25th, 2014 ACT Exam and class will begin on October 13th.

Program Summary:
  • 10 hours of Classroom instruction
  • 2 Diagnostic ACT Exams (one optional)
  • Omniac Manual (approx 100 pages)
  • Complimentary "Real ACT Prep Guide"
  • Maximum Class Size = 18 Students
  • Available only at RRHS!!
  • Course Cost is only $149!!!

Current Juniors: The Rotary Youth Leadership Award is an exciting seminar where your leadership skills are identified, developed and improved. This leadership experience lasts six days and is held in the beautiful Manzano mountains in Central New Mexico. RYLA is the camp that will sharpen your leadership skills. Advanced Placement
RRHS offers many Advanced Placement ("AP") classes that allow students to test for college credit!
