2015-16 Fall ACT Prep Course
Omniac Education and Rio Rancho High School are proud to offer the RRHS Spring ACT Prep Program for the 2015-16 school year! The program is intended to help students become "college ready" by raising ACT scores. The ACT Exam can be a formidable experience for many high school students but this unique course can help you master the tests and do your absolute best! This program is intended to prepare students for the October 24th, 2015 ACT Exam.

The class will begin on Monday, October 10th.

Program Summary:
  • 10 hours of Classroom instruction
  • 2 Diagnostic ACT Exams (one optional)
  • Omniac Manual (approx 100 pages)
  • Complimentary "Real ACT Prep Guide"
  • Maximum Class Size = 18 Students
  • Available only at RRHS!!
  • Course Cost is only $149 if you register this month!!!

The Free Practice ACT at RRHS!!!
Free Practice ACT!!!
Rio Rancho High School, in conjunction with Omniac Education, will be offering a Free Practice ACT Test for RRHS students on Saturday, Sept. 19th from 8:50am to 12:15 pm in the RRHS Cafeteria. We will also be offering a follow up ACT Workshop on Tuesday, Sept.22nd from 6:00pm-7:30pm in the Humanities Building classrooms. The ACT is a critical part of the college readiness and college admissions process for high school students so we encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about the exam and prepare your student to do their very best. Contact your students’ grade level counselor for more information and to sign up.

2015-16 NMEC / NMEAF College Fair @ Rio Rancho High School
This year's College Fair will be on Monday, September 21st from 8:00am-9:15am in the RRHS Auxiliary Gym! Dozens of colleges, universities and other postsecondary institutions will be in attendance and ready to share information with interested students and parents. Students may request a pass to the fair from their grade level counselor. Parents who wish to attend can check in at the front desk in admin on the morning of the event.

When you register for Go To College Fairs, you are providing personal information. This information will be provided exclusively to those colleges and/or universities that you choose at the College Fair. By allowing a college or university to record the electronic bar code on your admittance pass, the registrant agrees and gives permission that all personal information will be shared with those colleges or universities. UNM School of Engineering Summer Program
The Summer Transportation Institute (STI) is a summer program hosted by the Engineering Student Services department at the University of New Mexico. Current high school sophomores and juniors are eligible to apply for this program which is supported by the U.S. Department of Transportation.

This program runs from June 7th - 26th and the application must be submitted by May 29th.

Albuquerque Community Foundation Scholarships
Who Doesn't Need Help Going To College?!?

Each of ACF's 18 scholarship programs were established by a donor with individual interests and priority areas. They represent a broad diversity of people who care about education and they want to help students reach their goals!

Students may qualify for assistance if they answer yes to one or more of the following:
  • New Mexico resident?
  • High school senior or in college?
  • Have a 2.0 GPA or better?
  • Will go to college in New Mexico or out-of-state?
  • Will go to college full or part-time?
  • Attend or will attend college or public university?
  • Excel in S.T.E.M. classes?

Just a reminder that all RRHS students now have free and unlimited access to our ACT Prep Program available exclusively in their Naviance Accounts! Once students are logged in, the PrepMe link can be found under "Resources" on their Naviance home page.
